Love Is The Answer

When I was in Grade Four I lived at Nan and Pop’s place for four months. One morning I walked into Nan and Pop’s bedroom and asked Nan why her and Pop never had sex like Mum and Dad? Nan said because they had been married for so long, their love for each other was enough to relax them now their stuff down there didn’t work too well for them. Since the 1950’s Elvis Presley said that drugs make it all right. But in the 1970’s John Lennon said different. He said, love makes it all right. When Yoko kicked John out he was two years away. The separation devastated John Lennon. Love is the answer.

I can’t afford love. Because drugs haven’t paid me in twenty-eight years.
